Week 4 Begins...

Well I'm starting my fourth week of running and that means I walk 2 mins and run 5 four times in a row. I bought a pedometer yesterday so I could track my distance and I went about 1.6 miles.

I've started doing kettlenetics again. It's an exercise series that helped me lose a lot of weight before but I fell out of the habit of doing it. Recently, however, I started researching stretches I should do for my legs and feet and I remembered doing those stretches with the kettlenetics program. I'm hoping that if I use it to supplement my running I can strengthen my legs and feet. I did one of the dvds yesterday and it helped a lot with some foot pain I've been having. My legs were feeling pretty sore this morning, but in a good way.

I also bought a new tank top at the Disney Store at the outlet mall on Saturday. It's from the 2010 Disney Princess Half-Marathon and it was reduced to $5. I bought it to wear when I run to remind me why I'm doing all this. I'm hoping it will help motivate me towards my goal.

Summer is here and the temperature is going to keep rising. :( I'm thinking that when the weather starts going over the mid-90s I should start running in the morning instead of the afternoon so it isn't as hot. I hate getting up early but I don't want to run in the blistering heat either. And, of course, there's no way I can skip running for the summer or I won't be nearly ready for the HM in March.
