I'm not sure what I did to my foot but it's been bugging me a bit. The top of my left foot hurts when I push off. I bought new running shoes and I wonder if maybe it's a bruise. It doesn't hurt when I run or put weight on it so I think I'm okay. Just in case I bought some bandages to support my foot and some icyhot to sooth the muscles. I also got some foot stretches to strengthen my feet.
I read that women are more prone to stress fractures since they tend to have lower bone density. I also have had several broken bones in the class so I want to be careful and work on strengthening my leg/feet so I don't injure myself. I want to be ready for the HM and I don't want to lose training time due to injury.
I had a great run today. I'm at the end of week 3 and I did a walk of 3 mins/run of 4 mins 4 times. At the end I felt like I could have run another segment, maybe more. I over a mile I think... My foot also is feeling okay. No worse than before so that's a plus. :-)
